Why be a member of the Montana Chefs Association?

As a member of the Montana Chefs Association and American Culinary Federation, you will be affiliated with a state, national and international network of chefs and food service professionals. You will be a member of an organization that not only sets the standards of culinary excellence and professionalism, but also enforces those standards through certification, education, competition and training.

At the chapter level, we facilitate the pathway to professional advancement, continuing education, training, and recognition by bringing together a network of culinary and industry professionals from around Montana. Membership is not just open to chefs, cooks and bakers. Hospitality businesses, purveyors, students and enthurisiasts are also included in membership profile. As part of this supportive team, you will be helping yourself and others achieve career goals, showcase abilities, and learn from the best.

Membership levels and annual dues:

Professional Culinarian - $220
Professional/chef with three years or more of full-time employment in the culinary profession.
Culinarian - $110
Someone with a minimum of six months full-time employment who is pursuing on-the-job training and building a resume to take on more responsibility.
Student Culinarian - $80
Registered apprentice or student in a post secondary culinary education program with less then two years of full-time employment.
Junior Culinarian - $70
High school student between the ages of 16 and 18.
Associate - $290
Individual members of any group, corporation or company that provides products or services to the culinary profession.
Allied - $220
For those in professions related to the culinary profession, such as nutritionist, dietitian, bartender, waiter, restaurant manager and owner.
Culinary Enthusiast -$150
Some who has a passion for the culinary arts. Home cooks to gourmets are welcome at this level.
